Included in this set are four activities and a writing graphic organizer and prompt designed to meet the NGSS kindergarten standards about habitats:
-Use a model to represent the relationship between the needs of different plants or animals (including humans)
and the places they live.
-Communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the land, water, air, and/or other living things in the local environment.
The activities included are as follows:
-Science Research Writing
-Cleaning Ocean Pollution
-Leaf Rubbing Activity
-How do animals live in the arctic?
-How do desert plants hold water?
All of the activities are hands-on and kindergarten friendly. The activities require some materials, but all of them are common classroom or grocery store items.The activities can be completed in groups, individually, in pairs, or as a whole group depending on your specific classroom needs. Each activity includes the materials needed, directions, and reflection questions. Graphic organizers are included where needed.
