Looking for a primary note taking lesson on habitats? This lesson focuses on the adaptations animals have made to survive in various habitats. Students must identify the important words and phrases to include on these note taking sheets.
Habitats included are:
A blank page is included to customize for your own habitat.
Students can be assigned different habitats to research or each habitat can be studied in a whole group setting if preferred.
Students can use online databases such as PebbleGo, online encyclopedias, ebooks or regular books to find the answers to the research boxes. A source box is also included for students to indicate the type and title of the source used.
This lesson relates to the following science standards:
NGSS - LS4.C: Adaptation
2-LS4-1.Make observations of plants and animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats.
3-LS4-3. Construct an argument with evidence that in a particular habitat some organisms can survive well, some survive less well, and some cannot survive at all.
