Each of these printables is jam packed with information and activities about the following habitats:
• Polar Regions
Each page has a map activity, food chain example, handwriting practice, a word puzzle or reading comprehension, and fun facts. I have created specialized maps for each habitat geography activity that you can either post, project, or leave at a center. Of course, students can also use books or online resources. Finally, you'll find a cover page that you can use if you decide to turn this pack into a book for your students to work through. I've also included a page of teacher notes with lots of ideas for using them in your classroom.
In my class I use them when I'm about to start a new unit. We explore a One Sheet Wonder related to the new topic as a way to activate prior knowledge, spark some interest, and get them ready to learn something new. They work equally well as morning work, homework, enrichment, or any time you need a quick printable to keep your kids engaged. For me, this usually means when I'm pulled out for a data chat, IEP meeting, or for some reason someone is covering my class for a few minutes.
These super versatile printables are just great to have on hand any time of the year! See the original set of ten mixed science topics HERE
