PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a GREAT way to get your kids doing hands-on projects to show their understanding about habitats, pollution, and conservation!
**The research portion of this choice board ties DIRECTLY to my Habitats Booklet and Habitat Lesson Plans on my TPT Store. You can choose to omit those sections on this choice board and research the topics in your own way. You might have another resource for them to use to research. This is a Word document, so you can change it as you wish!

This choice board gives the students 3 choices to demonstrate their understanding of habitats, plants/animals living there, and animal/plant adaptations. They can show their learning by creating a travel brochure, creating a 3-D diorama, or writing a song.
This choice boar also gives them 3 choices to demonstrate their understanding of pollution, man's impact on habitats, and conservation. They can create a comic strip, write a reader's theater play, or create a board game or online game.

Each choice activity comes with a rubric so the students know the important things to include in their projects and it's also great for easy grading!

Standards covered in this choice board contract are: S3L1. Students will investigate the habitats of different organisms and the dependence of organisms on their habitat.
a. Differentiate between habitats of Georgia (mountains, marsh/swamp, coast, Piedmont, Atlantic Ocean) and the organisms that live there.
b. Identify features of green plants that allow them to live and thrive in different regions of Georgia.
c. Identify features of animals that allow them to live and thrive in different regions of Georgia.
d. Explain what will happen to an organism if the habitat is changed.

S3L2. Students will recognize the effects of pollution and humans on the environment.
a. Explain the effects of pollution (such as littering) to the habitats of plants and animals.
b. Identify ways to protect the environment.
• Conservation of resources
• Recycling of materials

**Please remember what I stated previously before you buy this product. The first section of this choice board is all about researching to gather knowledge. I have specific activities for students to do & resources for them to use to complete those activities. Those activities are for sale on my TPT Store (Habitat Booklet and Habitat Lesson Plans). You can still buy this and get GREAT use out of it even if you don't want to use my research materials.
