Haggai’s two chapters describe a conversation between God and the exiles who return to Jerusalem. God encourages them to glorify Him by putting Him first and their needs will be taken care of by God. The script is in .PDF format.
Choral readings and reader’s theater are wonderful ways to build reading fluency, comprehension (students have authentic reasons to read and reread) and a working knowledge of scripture. Strong readers can be assigned solo lines while weaker readers, shy students and ELL have the safety to speak in a group. The perspectives reader’s theater additionally provides opportunities for discussion about Biblical characters and what tone of voice they might use.
