There is no place like home!
Soup joumou or pumpkin soup is the meal eaten by Haitians in Haiti and in the Haitian Diaspora every January 1st. Haitians eat soup joumou to celebrate Haiti’s independence from France in 1804. Using these sheets, little learners will enjoy learning the numbers and number words and counting from 0-20 in Haitian Creole.
They will also get practice writing the numbers and number words.
Support English language learners from Haiti by using their mother tongue as a tool in your instruction or use with students learning Haitian Creole.
