This unit includes the following:
• Three pages of cloze-based narrative giving a brief, interactive account of the Haitian Revolution
• One page of reading-comprehension questions (short-answer, integrative writing exercises)
• One word-search to review key terms
• One extended writing assignment asking students to summarize and retell the events of the Revolution using the given them-based vocabulary
• A research project based on famous people who are either Haitian or of Haitian descent.
