This lesson sets up a crime scene scenario for the Halifax Explosion. Students are to listen to a podcast (free and available on the web and linked in the document both as a hyperlink and as a url). As students listen, they complete the activity sheet and make a decision as to who should be blamed for the explosion.
In this download you will receive a version that has cute clipart and a version that is without the clipart. You choose the version you want to use!
The podcast is approximately 30 minutes in length and when allowing for pausing and writing, lesson would take approximately 45 minutes. I've used this activity in my classroom numerous times with success.
