Ideal for the Kodaly or Orff inspired Music classroom
This Halloween themed bundle of fly-swatting games is for practicing the rhythmic concepts of:
Game One - quarter note (ta) and paired eighth notes (ti-ti)
Game Two - the quarter rest (ta rest)
Game Three - sixteenth notes (ti-ka-ti-ka) and
Game Four - the half note (ta-a).
Games come with embedded audio with the exception of the game for practicing the half note.
Project onto a whiteboard or Smartboard for best results.
The first set of 16 slides in each game have one rhythmic pattern per slide for you to prepare your students before playing the game. The next set of 14 slides each have two rhythmic patterns per page. The third set of 7 slides each have four of rhythmic patterns per page.
Stick notation with note heads is used.
This activity could be played as a team game and for assessment purposes.
