Great Halloween-themed point generator flipchart for your academic games this fall!
Each page has "tricks" and "treats" arranged in a random order, and each item is assigned a point value of either 2, 5, 7, 10, 12, or 15 for the "treats" and -2, -5, -7, -10, -12, and -15 for the "tricks". Clicking on a trick or treat reveals the secret point value assigned to it!
For games that use cards, you could add cards that say "Trick!" and cards that say "Treat!", then have the students choose a "trick" or "treat" from the board to see how many points they'll win or lose.
You certainly can use these for more than games that use cards, and students can earn/lose points working in groups or individually as well. This could become part of a station where two students are quizzing each other, and would provide motivation for getting correct answers!
Each slide has the items arranged randomly, and the point values have been changed so that you can use these slides over multiple days. For instance, you could use the first slide on Monday, the second slide on Tuesday, etc.
Don't forget to reset the page each time a trick or treat is chosen so the result box goes back to zero! If you do not, the point values keep adding up. This actually could be useful if you wanted to have a competition between class periods over a set of material!
In order to protect the graphics I’ve added, the graphics are not modifiable on the chart pages, but you may modify the point values and team names as needed. Thanks for checking this out!
