This freebie is intended to be a fun way to review language skills based around a Halloween theme!
Game 1: Print and sort cards by theme. Print ‘mash mats’ as desired. Distribute ‘mash mats’ to each student. Deal 4 cards to each student. Flip over ‘find me’ cards (I suggest printing 12-18 of these cards). If the student has the matching card, they can answer the question/prompt and collect the card on their ‘mash mat’. The student with the most cards at the end wins!
Game 2: Print and sort cards by theme. Separate ‘Find me’ cards. Print game board. Each student begins at the witch legs. Roll a die to move the number of spaces. Have a student select a card and answer the question/prompt. Watch out for the black cats or you lose a turn! First student to help the witch find her broom wins!
Game 3: Use prompt cards to practice Halloween-themed WH questions, compare/contrast, and categories with any regular game or reinforcer.
