Halloween is almost here and the Trick or Treaters are ready to go...
In this file are some cute Halloween trick or treat activities that you can do with your students: poetry, reading and writing.
There is a Power Point reader to use during Shared Reading called, The Trick or Treaters. It is great for talking about describing words/adjectives. You can also print the low ink version, laminate, and bind together to make a book for your Reading Station. There are student books to go with the reader that the kids get to color and read.
Also, included with the reader is a writing activity for the students to do using describing words/adjectives in their writing. There is a colored picture for you to use to brainstorm those adjectives before they write.
There is a cute poem to use during Shared Reading about going trick or treating. It uses conversation in it on speech bubbles that the kids can create on their poems. There is also a low ink version for you to print, laminate and bind together to make a book. The kids will have fun creating the poem. There are 3 different versions for you to choose from. You can make the poem on a large chart tablet, too. There are poetry strips with graphics included to put in a pocket chart and read, as well as a circling page to put in a station for circling sight words and chunks.
