A Halloween themed activity where students must match up the corresponding antonyms to create the 4 x 4 grid. In addition to practicing working with antonyms, students all get to work on their inductive reasoning skills as some of the words are repeated around the outside of the puzzle.
There are nine versions of the puzzle that are included for differentiation. The versions differ in the type and number of graphics and not in the actual words themselves. Three versions include 4 graphics, three include 9 graphics, and three include 16 graphics. As the number of graphics increases so does the difficulty, as it doesn't aid the students in constructing the puzzle as much.
To administer the puzzle, print out the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated. Cut out the pieces prior to passing out to students or a group of students.
