I made this cute Halloween Bat contraction match to help my kiddos practice with contractions for the month of October!! The kiddos match "bat" cards. There are green and purple bats...on the left wing is the 2 words that compile to create the contraction, and on the right wing is the actual contraction word. So basically your students are matching one half of the bat to the other half (so you will see a line down the middle of the bat's face, this is where you will cut when making the cards). Then record their matches in an "addition sentence".
There is a total of 18 matches, and the contractions include:
can't, won't, isn't, couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't, I'm, I'll, you're, you'll, she'll, he'll, it's, she's, he's, they've, I've, you've, we'd, I'd, you'd.
