This product helps kids learn to write about what they see and learn how to answer basic comprehension questions. For example, one page says:
I see a cat.
The cat is black.
-There are blank spaces for the students to fill in....
I see a ______.
The cat is ________.
Students can refer back to the top of the page, to the passage to see what the original passage said. I recommend reading the passage with the students and doing these with the students in the beginning.
There are nine pages of comprehension for students to complete. Then, students can label. The labeling printables assess beginning letters, all letters, or the vowel sounds. *Your choice, depending on the worksheet you would like to distribute. Students can circle the correct spelling, based on vowels they hear, or write the entire word - again, depending on what standard you are assessing.
In addition, there is a creative writing sheet for students to draw and label what they would see on Halloween.
