This unit provides a creative way to get students engaged in number sense while taking a walk with Halloween Cat on Halloween night. Students will write the number word, numeral, and fill in the ten frame as they stroll on Halloween night. Halloween Cat will run into several spooky sights - all very primary in design- and students will count and color.
In addition, I have incorporated literacy into this unit with response to literature printables in this product. Students can recall what Halloween Cat seen on his walk and sound the words out in list form.
In addition, there are flashcards you can play games with and a worksheet they can color as they match flashcards with number dot cards. Have fun with this unit! Check out the preview.
