Use each of these activities on a cookie tray with adhesive magnets. If you choose not to use cookie trays you could also use file folders and substitute the magnets for velcro.
These activities are great for reinforcing already mastered skills to ensure that the child really understands the skill.
For our special needs learners they are great for assessing generalization of skills; making sure the child can do the skill in multiple settings, with you, and on their own.
In my own classroom, we set up 3 cookie trays with 1 activity on each. Students rotate through the cookie trays until they have completed each activity.
When planning consider the skill level of the group as a whole if they will be rotating through. You want children to complete these activities almost independently. For me it allows 1 teacher to monitor while the other support staff prep our lunch time.
The following activities are included in this pack:
Alphabet Matching (4 different pages)
Candy Corn Matching
C is for Candy
Word Family Sort (-at and –an)
Word Family Sort (-ad and –ap)
