The students will have the chance to use the data from a 2013 USA Today article on the most popular Halloween candy. There are two versions of this activity. Depending on if your students have access to technology in class (or at home for homework) you can choose which version works best for you. They will be looking at data (how much each piece of candy cost and total amount in sales generated) and creating a bar graph from the information. There is also an extension activity the students can complete after they have gone trick-or-treating.
