Description

This is a digital version of my bestselling Halloween escape room. Great for distance learning and building classroom community. Students work together to solve a series of 4 logic puzzles to beat the game. I have students working in groups of 3 – 4 and have them collaborate in a virtual breakout room. It is helpful for students to have paper and pencil with them to work out the puzzles.

Puzzle 1 begins on the google slide so they can draw on the maze. They will then open the google form and find the 3 other puzzles.

  • Puzzle 1– students find their way through the maze. The code is the sequence of numbers they go through as they go from start to finish. Once they complete this puzzle, they open up the google form and enter this code to move on in the game.
  • Puzzle 2 – Students figure out how many different jack-o-lanterns can be made by mixing up the combination of eyes, noses, and mouths. Students enter this number into the google form to move on in the game
  • Puzzle 3 – Students solve a crossword puzzle with Halloween clues and have to figure out where each of the words fits. The students get the code by using the letters where the words intersect.
  • Puzzle 4 – In the final puzzle, students have to distribute the numbers 1 – 6 so there is one number on each intersection of 2 circles (marked with a pumpkin). The sum of all 3 circles must be equal. Once they have done this, they enter the value of the 3 pumpkins listed at the bottom to get a 3 digit code. They enter this numeric code into the google form to move on in the game.

Great for student engagement and collaboration during distance learning.
