This spooky literacy center is the perfect way to practice the “drop the e to add -ed or -ing” suffix rule when Halloween is right around the corner! Two card options make it quick and easy to differentiate.
To use, simple copy the desired recording sheet and print and laminate the bone cards. The cards can be placed on top of the boneyard background in the middle of the center table. There are two sets of cards provided, the orange set includes only CVCe words, the red set is a mix of words and is a bit more challenging.
A directions sheet listing the common core standards addressed is also included for display at the center.
The lined writing paper can be copied onto the back of the record sheet for writing sentences. It is also perfect for any Halloween themed writing activity and can be used again and again.
This center is truly four in one as it can be used multiple times by changing out the cards and/or the record sheet.
***This resource was updated on 10/2/15. New line options are now available on the recording sheets. If you own it, please download the update.***
