Engage your students in the weeks leading up to Halloween with this fun, interactive figurative language game!
This game comes as an interactive PowerPoint (and PDF) document that displays perfectly on a Smart Board or any projector. If you use a smart board, you can have students click the right side of the projector to see the answer and advance to the next slide! You can also have students participate using a mouse on a computer.
The game has 52 sentences with figurative language examples including similes, metaphors, alliteration, personification, onomatopoeia, and hyperbole.
This is excellent review and can be used with the whole class for students to answer individually, in partners, or small groups. Turn this into a competition and see which group can answer the most questions correctly. Students will love this game and it will keep them engaged in the hectic days leading up to Halloween.
In this document you receive:
-a 108 page PDF document with 52 examples of Halloween themed figurative language and 52 answer slides.
-2 slides with review definitions of the 6 types of figurative language included.
-One page of directions for the teacher and some ideas for use.
**If you have purchased my Halloween Figurative Language Task Cards, the same sentences are used. This is just provided as an interactive game that doesn't require any prep!
