This is a set of 28 Halloween figurative language task cards. Students read the sentence and then decide what type of figurative language is being used, there are 3 choices listed on the card . The concepts covered are: metaphor, simile, personification, onomatopoeia, alliteration, idiom and hyperbole. There is also a chart with the definitions and examples of the types you can give to students.
Task cards can be used in a variety of ways including as a scoot game, centers or in small groups. They are in color but print fine in black and white as well. There is a recording sheet included as well.
