What's the educational value of an "I Have, Who Has" game?
“I have…who has” activity is a fun fluency builder for hesitant readers. Besides fluency, it can be used to reinforce writing skills for spelling, or narrative writing. It is an excellent way to reinforce vocabulary (i.e., homophones, parts of speech, and multiple meanings --when applicable). Once students are familiar with thematic or content words, they are able to use them with confidence in their writing. These words may provide a word bank for a narrative. “I have…who has” games make a practical alternative to worksheets.
