Product Description
Halloween is one of those days where it just really hard to keep the kids on task. These three assignments have changed that for my students. The three included activites are a puzzle (multiplying mixed numbers and fractions), a coloring page (dividing fractions and mixed numbers), and a maze (multiplying fractions and mixed numbers)

Directions:

Puzzle
This is a fun challenge where the students cut out the squres, and then reassemble the squares so the questions line up with the answers. They are asked to show all their work on a seperate piece of paper, and then glue the puzzle squares together on the back (that way they can turn it in for a grade). I usually have the students complete this with a partner, but can also be done individually

Maze
A fun game to practice multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. The students begin at the "start" solving questions. The correct answer to the first question leads them to the second question (and so on). The students eventually make their way "home safely" to end the game. The great value in this game is that students know instantly if thier answer is incorrect (If they don't see their answer- they did something wrong)

Coloring
This is a festive, Haloween themed coloring to keep the kids' attention. The students divide each fraction or mixed number, turn their answer to a mixed number, and then use the whole number in their answer to determine the color they use. Some many skills practiced while still having fun! A worked out solution key is included
