I'd like to share this no-prep Halloween word building activity with you. Children simply cut out the words at the bottom of the page (Have a Happy Halloween!), cut apart the letters, and arrange them to make as many different words as they can. The students will then record the words on the lines provided.
Examples of the words might be: whale, wheel, hall, weep, heal, apply, paw, pawn, plan, plane, pen, pew, heap, peep, ape, phone, heavy, pave, lava, how, lap, leap, pollen, apple, pan, pale, nap, nape, lane, plea, help, wave, wane, play, he, hole, whole
This activity is great for partner work, literacy centers, fast finishers, small groups, independent work, and more!
I hope your class enjoys it!
