A great activity for October and Halloween! This is a scientific investigation that the students will LOVE! Students will put Halloween Peeps in different types of liquids and make predictions on how they will react. This is a great activity for the Halloween season or even for the day of your Halloween Party (you know the one we are not really having ;) If you can not find the peeps in your area, marshmallows work just fine. In fact you can draw eyes and a mouth on a big white marshmallow and it looks like a ghost! The students will go through all the steps: asking a questions, hypothesis, conducting the experiment, observing the results immediately, one hour later and at the end of the school day, then write and draw their conclusions. It is such a fun experiment and one that costs you such little money and saves you time! I have done all the paperwork for you! You can bind them into little books or journals for your "scientists" or just hand out the papers. It can be taken on in great detail by making lab coats to watching a video of conducting experiments prior to the observations or you can click print and have everything you need (well you need to gather four clear cups, buy marshmallow peeps and collect warm water, milk, vinegar, and dark soda) to conduct an experiment that they will talk about all year! This one is a keeper for the October season every year!
