Product Description
Looking for an engaging, rigorous Halloween-themed grammar activity for your students? This Halloween escape room is perfect for those days around Oct. 31 — or any time during October or November — when students are full of sugar and energy but still need to learn.

Students will review sentence structure and agreement; find errors in parallel structure, punctuation, agreement, and verb tense; and complete vocabulary analogies and vocabulary analogies with these 16 Halloween-themed task cards.

This product is included in my Secondary English Escape Room Bundle .

Your download includes

► 16 sentences for determining sentence structure (simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex) about the history of Halloween
► 16 sentences for determining agreement with sentences related to Halloween
► 16 vocabulary analogies with words related to Halloween
► 16 sentences for determining errors in parallel structure, agreement, verb tense, and punctuation
► one practice task card to model for students how to fill in answer code
► teacher & student instructions for Google and non-Google facilitation
► answer key for codes and secret phrases if teacher-led, including answer explanations
► teacher tips page and link to overview instruction video
► four different Google forms with four different secret phrases

Please note: The cards contain sentences related to Halloween, its history, and terms related to Halloween. The analogies represent the most difficult part of the escape room. Students may require a dictionary.

In the Google-led facilitation (a quicker version), students input answers into a Google Form and are automatically told if their code is correct for each card and awarded a letter toward the secret phrase. There are four different Google forms that receive the same numeric codes but four different “secret phrases.”

In the teacher-led facilitation (a lengthier version), teachers will check answers for students and award letters toward the secret phrase.
