Product Description
Here is a one page worksheet to be cut and pasted in sequence with the events of the story, 'The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything', by Linda Williams (Scholastic, 1986). The ordinal numbers 1st-6th, the six scarecrow pieces' names complete with adjectives, and the six onomatopoeias. Children cut out each of the 18 pieces and sequence the events together in order next to the drawing of the scarecrow. It is a lot of fun, but it did take a little longer (40 min. including reading the story aloud) than I had anticipated. We did the activity with Big Friends (4th/5th gr.) and Little Friends (my 2nd graders). ENJOY!!
