Hello! Thank you for looking at Halloween Language and Processing Activities Grades 3rd – 7th.
This packet was created for my language impaired students who require development with their language and auditory processing skills.
Lesson 1 –Slides 3-5 Halloween People Search – To help develop socialization skills, I included a Halloween People Search in this packet. Directions on how to introduce and use a people search is included. The People Search chart and follow-up reflection page is included.
Lesson 2 – Slides 6- 15 Verbal Problem Solving Halloween Get-together theme – For this lesson, 28 scenarios all around a theme of a Halloween get-together are included. Students are required to respond to each question. 3 graph
Lesson 3 – Slides 16 – 19 – Auditory Comprehension of Short Stories About Halloween. Students will be read 4 stories, each containing 4 parts. Each part of the story has two varied ‘wh’ questions to respond to regarding the topic of Halloween.
Lesson 4 – Slides 20 – 21 Formulation of Sentences Using Conjunctions Correctly. Students will be provided with two to three sentence that they will be required to combine using the conjunctions ‘and’ and ‘either’
Lesson 5 – Slides – 22-25 Following Directions Containing Linguistic Concepts – Haunted House Theme. For this activity, students will be give directions to complete a haunted house. A set of 18 directions containing a variety of linguistic concepts are provided.
