Here you'll find a collection of five literacy based Halloween centers. The centers can be used as part of a reading workshop or as word work and writing in daily five. The first center is called alphabet soup. Students use a spoon to draw letters out of their soup and spell words. The second center is pumpkin families. Students use consonants to make several word family words. The next center practices students fine motor skills and letter formation. Students use candy corn to form the letters. Then students practice spelling Halloween words with picture puzzles. Last, students play memory with sight words with a special Halloween twist. These are great for any K-2 classroom.
