With Halloween just a few days away, we created 3 fun math games that you can use to reinforce addition skills. They are perfect for a Halloween party and/or your early finishers during math time. Take a peek at the thumbnail images to see the games that are included in this packet.
Game Descriptions and Directions:
Game 1: Finding Facts with Frankenstein Game
The goal of this game is to locate turn-around addition facts. Students roll two dice. Students must find the fact rolled and the matching turn-around fact on their game board. When the two facts are found, the students color in the spaces. Students lose a turn if they roll a double. The first student to color in all of their facts is the winner.
Game 2: Great Ghosts! Adding 3 Numbers Dice Game
Students roll three dice and add them to find the sum of the three numbers rolled. Students record the sum in a ghost on their game board. The game continues until a player has filled all of their ghosts with sums that are all different (no repeat sums).
Game 3: Double, Double Boil and Bubble
The goal of this game is to roll as many doubles as possible. Students roll 4 dice. When a double is rolled, the students write the sum of the double in a “bubble” on their game board. The first person to complete their whole game board is the winner.
