These Halloween Math Scoot Cards make up a fun and exciting game that gets all of your students moving. It can be used as a preview to see what your students already know, as a review, or as an assessment after teaching subtraction facts 11 to 20. Great game to play during Halloween Week!

You can also play “ Around the World” where a card is shown to 2 students standing and the first one to yell out the answer moves to the next desk. The student that makes it to the most desks wins. You could also give the student who gets the answer right

first a Quentin Dollar which is a free download at our store. Then the student who gets the most dollars wins. Also could use cards in a center and use the candy corn manipulatives to help subtract.

This is a mix and match with "Fall Scoot Game: Addition 11 to 20," to help your kids learn fact families.

Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).
