This activity bundle is a fun, versatile way to enhance a lesson on descriptive language! Students will use the monster body part templates provided, as well as construction paper and LOTS of imagination, to create their very own monster. They will then use the activity sheets provided to describe their monster. The bundle is SO versatile!!! It can be tailored to any grade level. For example, lower grades can use the activity sheets to focus on introducing adjectives and descriptions, while upper grades can review adjectives, explore synonyms using thesauri, enhance vocabulary across content areas, or apply figures of speech - all using the same activity and monster template! Also included is a fun, corresponding center idea to be used after your lesson!!!
Included in the activity bundle:
*Teacher instructions for creating the monster
*MULTIPLE templates for monster body parts
*A "My Monster is..." activity sheet for recording descriptions
*Monster name tags
*Monster description cards (for center)
*"Name that Monster" activity sheet (for center)
*********This is NOT a lesson on descriptive language. It is an activity to enhance and support your existing grade-specific lesson, as well as make it more fun and hands-on! Please check out the preview to see most of what is included in the bundle!!!
