Have you been looking for a fun October writing activty that your entire class will enjoy? This is my most poplular writing activity in my class. It is fun, interactive, and structured with visual prompts and graphic organziers to help students write sentences and build paragraphs using time order transition words. This activity was designed to make guided writing easy for the teacher and writing easy for the student.
The students will go on a monster hunt. Don't worry! These are silly monsters, not scary. They will take notes to guide them through the writing process. Materials are provided for a teacher led guided writing activity, writing prompts for independent writing, and a cute monster craft to display their spooktacular work!
Did I mention it is differentiated? Planning pages have been provided to suit the needs of your students and the amount of time you want to spend on this activity. Students can compose 1 paragraph with various amounts of sentences or multiple paragraphs depending on which page you choose. Perfect for classrooms with different levels of learners and teachers who teach multiple grade levels.
All color materials are also provided in black and white if you want to save your ink.
