Thank you for your interest in the Halloween Skip Counting Puzzles. This activity is a great way to work on skip counting, which is an important precursor to multiplication fluency.
Included in this packet you will find eleven skip counting puzzles, one for each multiplication table 2 through 12.
To prepare the puzzles for use, you'll need to cut around the entire square surrounding the picture. Then, cut the square into strips along the horizontal lines. DO NOT cut the vertical line attaching the numbers to the picture. This needs to stay in tact.
Students will stack the strips up by skip counting. When they do, a picture will magically appear. This activity is self-checking because if the strips are not assembled in the correct order, the picture will not appear properly.
Since each strip will be handled frequently, I recommend printing on cardstock for added durability. I like to store these strips in a business sized envelope, with the number we're skip counting by clearly labeled on the outside.
These puzzles are sure to be a huge hit in your classroom. They're a fun and engaging tool that can really help your students master skip counting, which is essential for their multiplication fluency. These puzzles work well during math centers and are also great to use with students who finish early. They also make great little gifts to send home with your students.
Thank you again for your purchase of the Halloween Skip Counting Puzzles. I hope that you love it as much as I do.
