With Halloween right around the corner, here's a neat and fun way generate excitement in students about practicing multiplication facts with this Halloween-themed practice. This is a timed activity that's full of interesting Halloween images on each slide that's bound to capture students’ interest, excitement, and engagement in the activity.
The multiplication tables 2-12 are randomly grouped and a single fact slide is presented. Each slide is timed for a 6-seconds response before the next slide is shown. There are a number of ways to use this fact practice. It can be used in a gaming format where the class is be divided into teams for a team’s challenge. It can be used in a math center or in cooperative small groups. Then it can also be used as an excellent alternative to independent seatwork practice. Use it in any creative way you can think of whenever your students could benefit from extra multiplication facts practice.
A neat feature with this resource is you can choose just the set of facts you wish present to your students for practice. So, if you only want to review the 5's and 2's table, for example, just configure the PPT slides to show only the slides for those two sets of multiplication facts.
A worksheet is provided that you can print out for students to record their answers if you’d like. Then at the end of each table's group of facts, an answers slide is presented so students can check their answers for immediate feedback.
