The perfect center activities for having students sort out odd and even numbers this Halloween. There are 3 sets of centers (spiders, candy and ghosts) that need to be sorted to the correct spot (web, jack-o-lantern, haunted house). Sorting number cards can be used for other odd and even games or greater than less than games.
Ghost cards are picture cards that students must sort by looking to see if they can be put into equal groups in order to identify if they are even. Spider and candy cards have the given numbers in standard form. Packet also includes an accountability sheet in which students must color numbers in a haunted house based on whether the numbers are odd or even.
Aligns to Common Core State Standards working with equal groups of objects to gain foundations for multiplication.
Determine whether a group of objects (up to 20) has an odd or even number of members, e.g., by pairing objects or counting them by 2s; write an equation to express an even number as a sum of two equal addends.
Happy Odd or Even-ing! :)
