Product Description
This is a project I use either on Halloween or around it. First we have our preposition/prepositional phrase lesson. You can do this the day of or the day before. I have already placed tissues around suckers and hidden them throughout the room. I explain to them that they will be searching for a sucker ghost. They must remember where and how their ghost was hidden. Then they will return to their desk and write a short paragraph using prepositional phrases about their ghost (5 prepositional phrases). While they are doing that, they may eat their sucker (the ghost). I have a sample paragraph included with and without the prepositional phrases highlighted. I like to see if they can find them first. I put this on the smart board. I also have a rubric and Halloween lined paper to write their paragraph. The rubric includes a grading scale and the two standards that are covered.
