These counting pages are great for a take home activity or for center work. Children just count the number of objects inside each rectangle and write their answer in the box. There are two different sets of 4 worksheets for numbers 1-10 and 11-20.
Halloween Alphabet Match
A simple clip activity to add to your literacy center and there’s also a set to differentiate for your students’ needs. The first set is matching capital letters to lowercase. The second set allows students to match capital letters to capital letters. This can also be made self checking by placing a sticker or dot on the back of the card behind the correct choice.
This center is great for working on fine motor control. Print and laminate the cards. Children can then use a dry erase marker to trace the dotted lines. There are 12 cards included.
Roll a Monster
This is such a fun math center to have it during Halloween celebrations! It could even be used as a fun game during a Halloween party! Children choose a monster mat and a small building card. Using a dice, they roll and build their monster according to the pictures on the card. After children have completed their monster, they may choose a new card and mat to build another one! There are also a variety of Design a Monster sheets included for children to create and name their own monsters.
Build a Halloween Basket
This fun center is great for working on beginning sounds and letter identification. Children will choose a candy basket, then find 3 pieces of candy. 2 of the pieces will have a letter, either capital or lowercase and the 3rd piece will have a picture. There are also several worksheets included to help differentiate for your students’ needs. Remember the center can be modified too by only placing out certain pieces of the candy (capital letters only, beginning sounds, etc)
This fun Halloween patterning set will help your children work on their skills. There are 18 different patterning cards included. On the last page you will find the missing pieces to the patterns. These could also work with Halloween mini erasers or other manipulatives like rings or candy corn
Add this center to your classroom to help your children work on rhyming. They will choose a house, identify the picture and find the child with the rhyming picture on their candy basket to make a match. There are 12 rhymes included. There is a worksheet included as well that works on the same set of rhymes from the activity. This would be great to send home or to record their answers while working at the center.
Halloween Count and Clip
If an easy, low prep math center is what you are looking for, then this is it! These count and clip cards are perfect for that. Print, laminate and cut the cards apart. Children will count the number of objects and clip with number on the right side. There are 4 sets of cards with numbers 0-10, making for 44 cards total!
A fun way to get children involved and excited about learning, is to get them up and moving. Math around the Room gets them doing just that! This can be used in different ways depending on the worksheet you choose. The first option is to graph the room. Children will count the objects and then graph them on their sheet. The second option is to count the room. Children will count the pictures and record their answer on their sheet. The first worksheet option for this is to physically write the number. The other option is to color in the correct circle. Each worksheet option is included. This includes the use of ten frames, which is a common tool used in primary classrooms.
