includes:
-pumpkin “book” cover
-pumpkin life cycle (base) template
-pumpkin life cycle stage circles (picture form and word form x 3 to a page)
Pumpkin Carving Adjective Activity
includes:
-template of pumpkin to be printed on construction paper and students use adjectives to describe the inside and outside of the pumpkin.
Pumpkin How-to Writing Activity
-transition word cards that can be made into a flap book. where students can organize each portion of the carving process.
- writing template for the final draft of the how-to writing piece
-a blank pumpkin that can be printed on orange construction paper or colored orange and students can decorate it to model how the pumpkin looked after it was carved. Include texture to the project by providing them with items such as black construction paper (for eyes/mouth), yarn, etc. to make the pumpkins look more interesting and unique.
