This is a simple page to go along with a fun activity I do every year with my kinder students. I bring in (or have parents bring in) a few pumpkins, remove everything I want to keep clean, cover the tables with paper or disposable table cloths, and let the kiddos go to town. They clean out the pumpkins with their hands and count the seeds. Depending on what your class is capable of, you can have them count out 10 seeds for themselves only, count all the seeds by 1's, 2's, 5's, or 10's, or go all out and graph the seeds on a whole class graph (which you will have to make, presumably out of butcher paper or using a smart board). There are a lot of fun ideas! This paper is just a little jumping off point and can be easily displayed outside the classroom.
Because I can't remember where the clip art came from, there is no charge, but please take a look around my store for other great projects and ideas for your classroom! And, as always, if you are looking for something in particular and can't find it, send me an e-mail and I'll get working on it! (ANY grade level, ANY subject!)
