Pumpkin Patch Match Learning Centers: Visual Discrimination
Visual discrimination skills are very important in learning for children of all ages. All aspects of math, including patterning, sorting, counting and graphing depend on good visual discrimination skills.
1. Pumpkin Patch Match Task Cards
Print, laminate, and cut apart the cards. Four of the six pictures on each card are the different and two are the same. Children find the 2 pictures that match each other and cover them with bingo chips or tokens. This is a set of 16 cards. Some of the cards are simple and others are more difficult for differentiation in the classroom.
2. Halloween Patterns
Students will cut and paste the Halloween objects in the correct order.
3. Halloween and Fall Counting Puzzles:
This learning center includes 17 Counting Puzzles with numbers ranging from 1-120. (Counting from 1-120 and Skip Counting by 2’s, 3’s, 5’s, and 10’s.) All you have to do is print, laminate, and cut into strips. Each card is cut into 10 different strips. Students will have fun putting the puzzles together.
