Students plot the points to make a jack-o-lantern then determine a transformation that would take each point to the next. Students can use no more than 10 translations and must use at least 5 rotations and at least 5 reflections. Students are encouraged to find unique pathways to each point. This activity provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their level of understanding of transformations rather than completing an already prescribed pattern. The answer sheet provided gives one possible pathway, but is in no way the only answer choices possible.
