Take some of the fright out of Halloween with this free Early Literacy and Math Pack for students at Guided Reading Levels A and B!
Kids love Halloween and teachers love to see kids excited about reading! The goal of these simple Halloween activities is to keep little learners motivated to read as they look forward to their upcoming celebrations. This pack includes:
★ One page of alphabet sentences
★ One page of sight word sentences
★ Two pages of questions focusing on initial sounds
★ Two pages of early reading comprehension passages
★ One page of addition word problems for young learners
The pages are presented in order of increasing complexity. Two similar reading comprehension passages are included. The first passage can be used to teach/model finding information in text. To check for understanding, I like to have students complete the second passage more independently.
Many thanks for stopping by and taking a look at these activities!
