This Halloween-themed product is sure to engage your primary age students who are developing & solidifying their ability to identify high frequency/sight vocabulary words in context. The packet contains 5 worksheets/activity sheets in which students:
-read 4 sight words in a word box
-read a 3-4 sentence story about one or more adorable trick or treaters as pictured in the matching illustration
-choose appropriate words to 'fill in the blanks" to complete each story
These short Halloween passages contain first grade sight words, phonetically regular CVC & CVCC words, and some Halloween vocabulary words that will give your students practice using context clues to figure out new words as well. Each of the 5 worksheets contains two passages, each of which has 3-4 opportunities to "fill in the blank." An answer key is included. Please check the preview collage to see a list of the sight words included & examples of this fun seasonal instructional activity!
