Lots of sorting materials for whole group activities and/or small group/centers!
Color Sets (4 in each set) Frankie, Pumpkin, Color Circle and Color Word.
Colors include Light Blue, Brown, Gray, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Dark Blue, Red, Yellow and White.
I use these for “one of these things doesn’t belong” game.
Use three like colors and then one different color (red frankie, red pumpkin, red circle, word BLUE.
Or use Three different colored Frankenstein Monsters and a pumpkin…3 Different pumpkins and a circle, etc. Then children have to figure out which one “DOESN’T BELONG” and explain.
I use these cards and play this with the whole group, and then put the cards at a center for the children to “play” with.
You can also use the pieces for sorting activities.
There are colored houses that match the monsters and the pumpkins. They can use these to group objects by color. I like to use these for small group and working on positional words too.
Behind, Beside, Above, Below, On Top Of, In Front Of…etc.
See if the children can follow verbal directions and if they know the positional concepts. This makes a good assessment tool as well.
Sets of Large, Medium and Small Frankenstein Monsters.
You can use these for ordering by size, or sorting by color or size.
They are good for pocket chart or small group/center activities.
ABC Frankenstein Monsters:
Use for Sequencing the alphabet.
Or you can put three or four letters up and ask the children to pick which letter comes next.
Another idea is to put up a group of letters with some missing. Children have to find which letter is missing and put it in that spot.
INCLUDES SORTING MATS FOR EACH COLOR/can be used for sorting any time of year and with any theme!
