This is a FUN idioms activity with a Halloween theme! Perfect for speech therapy or special education upper elementary or middle school students!
This is included in my Halloween Bundle (which also included my Halloween Main Idea passages- in fact, they pair PERFECTLY together, though you can use them individually as well!)
These Halloween themed Idiom activity printables are the perfect way to bring SPOOKY and FUN into your speech therapy session!
There are a total of 10 “Spooky Roll and Smash” worksheets. (There are 20 worksheets total included in this packet, as you will receive both a low ink and a color version of each page).
Your student will roll a die, then read a sentence. The sentence contains a bolded idiom. Your student is then prompted to explain the meaning of the idiom used in the sentence.
The idioms are “themed” to go along with werewolves, Frankenstein, mummies, and vampires. For example, when targeting the Frankenstein Idioms, you will work on expressions such as “frankly speaking” or “let me be frank”.
There is no prep required, though you may wish to laminate color pages after printing for repeated use. Alternatively, stick these sheets in a page protector. Use these worksheets with dough and a die for extra fun.
