Do you have tons of rubber stamps or stickers?
Use your stash of rubber stamps or stickers in your speech and language therapy sessions to create a unique (and sometimes wacky) Halloween story! This can be used prior to Halloween, or it makes for a great activity the day AFTER Halloween!
Perfect for carryover of speech skills. Have students read the story one sentence at a time and use their choice of rubber stamp or sticker to fill in the blanks. Listen as they apply their articulation and fluency strategies, and have them share their stories aloud in the therapy room or with their teachers.
I have them highlight their sounds in the story for visual cues if needed. Then the story can go home as "speech homework" to read to their family.
