Keep your students engaged in science with these Halloween themed review and color-by-number activities for metrics, lab equipment, and human body systems. Dr. Frankenstein and his assistant Igor are having a Halloween Party, and have invited some guests, including Wendy the Witch. Frankenstein’s lab is a mess, Igor is busily making cookies for the party, and Wendy brought an uninvited guest: her cat. Three activities, each with a color by number “answer sheet”, are included in this set:
• In Dr. Frankenstein’s lab, students match equipment with the name or function of the equipment to find out what colors to use in a Jack-O’-Lantern color by number answer sheet.
• Students match appropriate metric units with ingredients that Igor purchases to make his Halloween cookies for the party. Correct answers provide the colors to use in a color by number Halloween Candy picture.
• Wendy’s cat rips apart Dr. Frankenstein’s diary and students must fill in the missing pieces of a diary entry to make sense of Dr. Frankenstein’s notes about his monster’s body systems. The correct answers provide the colors to use for a picture of Wendy’s cat.
Your students, however excited and antsy they are for Halloween, will LOVE these activities, and you’ll love that they’re actually focused on science content at the same time!
