The purpose of this resource is to create an active seasonal Hallowe’en lesson where pupils get out of their desks to complete the task (possibly in Hallowe’en costume!) All of the questions are associated with some aspect of Hallowe’en traditions.
Laminate and cut out the twenty six cards. On each card is a Hallowe’en question on the left and a large letter of the alphabet on the right. Place these cards randomly around the classroom or around the school to create a type of Hallowe’en trail.
Print out a copy of the Pupil Answer Sheet for each pupil/pair. Pupils firstly have to find each card on the trail, they then work out the answer and write the answer beside the appropriate letter on their answer sheet.
An answer sheet for the teacher is also provided.
